E1W Wapping

Located between the north bank of the River Thames and the ancient thoroughfare, The Highway, Wapping, a highly desirable east London district in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, has a strong maritime character due to its proximity to the river.

The area, which has undergone mass improvements in the past decade, features many fashionable shops, restaurants and cozy riverside pubs, making it extremely popular with city professionals, particularly with those now working in Canary Wharf.

Wapping has largely moved away from its industrial past, and is now full of luxury developments, including new-build apartments, most notably along the western end of the high street and St Katharine Docks, as well as converted warehouses along pleasant cobbled streets.

Wapping has good transport links, including Wapping station, Tower Hill, Shadwell, Tower Gateway, Fenchurch Street
