Rotherhithe is a district in inner southeast London and part of the London Borough of Southwark. It is located on a peninsula on the south bank of the Thames, facing Wapping and the Isle of Dogs on the north bank, and is a part of the Docklands area. It's next door to Deptford to the south east and Bermondsey to the west.
Rotherhithe has a long and formidable history as a shipping port. Originally known as Redriff, the area is fast becoming a busy and vibrant residential and commuter centre.
Due to Rotherhithe’s nautical history there are a large number of warehouses available that have been converted into high-end property, as well as a variety of new-build apartment developments with stunning riverside views.
There are 4 stations on the Tube/Overground in the area. Bermondsey Tube station is on the Jubilee line. Rotherhithe, Canada Water and Surrey Quays are on the London Overground line.
